A reading break, your way
- Choose any book. Start from your bookmark or a page you want to revisit.
- Read a little. Ten minutes is one option; a shorter or longer break works too. There is no streak to keep.
- Keep one thought. Write a place, feeling or question on the lines. You do not need to copy a passage.
For a reading group
Bring any book. After a short reading break, each person can share one thought from their card. Anyone can pass. It works without everyone having read the same title.
For a small gift
Write something specific on the back: why you chose the gift, a place you would like to read together, or a small detail you appreciate about the recipient. The printed message is a starting point.
Print and trim
The PDF uses US Letter paper. Print at actual size, then cut around the dotted border to make one 5 x 7 in card. On A4, choose actual size and check the print preview. Ordinary paper works; heavier paper makes a firmer card if your printer supports it.
Print enough for your own reading group, and share this download page with a friend. The file is free. A book, drink, envelope and physical card are not shipped with the download.
